Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Hans for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hopper; his daughters, Nadia Mercier (Steven) and Karin Derouaux; and his grandchildren, Hannah Mercier, Luke Mercier, Eva Surridge and Dahlia Surridge.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Elhatton Funeral Chapel (187 St George St, Bathurst, NB E2A 1B6).
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Extra Mural or to a charity of your choice.
