It is with sadness that the passing of Joanne Melanson Nickum Hills of Bathurst, New Brunswick is shared. Joanne passed away on September 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Melanson and Odille Melanson; her former husband Harold Hills; her husband Carl Nickum; and her brother Louie.
She is survived by: her sons, Robin (Amanda) of Moncton, Craig of Bathurst and Matthew of Moncton; her grandchildren, Caleb, Elijah, Grace and Alice; and her siblings, Yvette (Hubert), Greg (Anne Marie), Sister Patricia, Roger (Flo), Thomas (Barbara) and Juanita. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Elhatton's Funeral Home (187 St George St, Bathurst, NB E2A 1B6). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. George's Anglican Church (432 King Ave, Bathurst, NB E2A1P5).
Donations in Joanne's memory may be made to St. George's Anglican Church, the Bathurst Volunteer Center, or a charity of the donor's choice.
