He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Fowlie and Agnes Fowlie (McLean); his wife Jean Fowlie (Godfrey); and his siblings, Ingram (Connie), Teddy (Bunny) and Beth.

He is survived by: his sons, Dean Fowlie (Erin) of Ottawa and Dan Fowlie (Amanda) of Rothesay; his sister Anna Watling (Neil); and his grandchildren, Logan, Liam and Aislynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
