She was predeceased by: her parents, Théotime Caissie and Dorina Chiasson; her husband Jeremiah "Jed" Blackmore; her son Christopher; and her granddaughter Abigail.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Blackmore (Patti) of Sarnia, ON, Peter Blackmore (Deborah) of Kitchener, ON, Tommy Blackmore (Jan) of Salisbury, NB, Andy Blackmore (Theresa) of Edmonton, AB, Paul Blackmore (Gail) of Bathurst, Robert Blackmore (Anne) of Hampton, NB, Jeffrey Blackmore (Cindy) of Port Coquitlam, BC, Judith Gray of Riverview, NB. and Colleen Doucette (Gilles) of Truro, NS.; and her siblings, Peter and Georgina. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

Donations in Leah's memory can be made to the Canadian Red Cross of Atlantic Canada, something that was always near and dear to her heart.
