He was predeceased by: his parents, James LaPointe and Eva LaPointe (LeJeune); and his brothers, Camille, Alphonse and Aurele.
He is survived by: his spouse Annette (Gallen) of Benjamin River; his children, Ricky of Benjamin River, Gary (Peggy Roussie) of Campbellton, Debora Laviolette (Jean) of Bathurst and Troy (Treena) of Lorne; his stepchildren, Judy McCormick (Randy) of Beresford and John Doucet (Bernadette) of London, ON; his grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Meaghan, Jeffrey and Dominic; his great grandchildren, Cole and Emma; and his siblings, Everett of Mississauga, ON, Sherman of Saint John, Jacqueline Godin of New Mills, Lucy Jenkins of Ontario and Marjorie Kidson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
