He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Boyd and Cora Boyd (Black); and his siblings, Bill, John, Margaret, Angeline, Joseph and Kenny.

He is survived by: his wife Germaine Boyd (Morais); his children, Stephen Boyd of Pabineau Falls and Cindy Peter Paul (Thomas) of South Tetagouche; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Rachael, Amber, Jenna, Jonathan, Matthew and Chloe; his stepgrandchildren, Greg and Malerie; his great grandchildren, Landon, Leo, Clyde, Liam, Cohen and Watson; his brother Gary Black of Big River; and his stepgrandson Nathaniel.

Donations in memory of Leonard may be made to the Palliative Care unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
