He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Young and Eva Young (Mean); his daughter Karla; and his siblings, Robert, Ernest, Arthur and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his wife Edith (Knowles); his daughters, Marj (late Yvon Aubé) and Nancy (Gordie); his grandchildren, Ashley (Josh), Shannon (Peter), Kirk (Stephanie), Kyle (Caroline) and Janna (Mitch); and his great grandchildren, Alex, William, Stella, Ivy, Norman and Amelia.
