He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Blanchard and Laura Blanchard (Boucher); his son Marc; and his siblings, Edward "Ned" Blanchard (Tilly), Kenneth "Kenny" Blanchard (Julie), John "Jack" Blanchard (Jenny), Phyllis Brideau (Andrew), Margaret "Peggy" Doucet Melanson and Veronica "Vonnie" Hachey.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Blanchard (Babineau) of Bathurst; his son George (Joanne) of Beresford; and his sister Pauline "Polly" Forsey (Walt) of Riverview. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel (187 St George St, Bathurst, NB E2A 1B6). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
