He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Simmons and Ada Simmons (Gionet); his wife Yvonne Blanchard; and his brothers, Elmer and John.
He is survived by: his son Michael Blanchard (Shelby Willett) of Bathurst; and his sisters, Linda (late Jean Robichaud) of Inkerman and Barbara Ann (Steven Garrett) of Bathurst.
