He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Kerr (Bateman) and Thomas Kerr; and his siblings, Helen (Robert), Fred (Mary) and Barbara (Norman).
He is survived by: his wife Marion; his sons, David, Robert, Andrew (Lisa) and Jeffrey (Sandra); his grandchildren, Matthew and Laura; and his brother Raleigh (Margaret). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
