He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Parkinson and Marion Parkinson; his wife Irene; his brother Charles Parkinson; and his brother-in-law Ralph Farrell.

He is survived by: his children, Ron Parkinson (Tania) and Karen Parkinson; his grandsons, Mitchell (Cheer) and Ryan Parkinson (Lyndsay); his great grandchildren, Rylyn, Sadie, Silas Parkinson and Skylar Parkinson; and his siblings, Wendell Parkinson (Melba), Donnie Parkinson (Ann) and Alice Farrell.
