He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cole and Florella Cole (Matthews); his son Darren; and his siblings, Diane Armstrong, Charlotte Cole and Clifford Cole.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Roy of Bathurst and Wanda Uttley of Big River; his grandchildren, Jessica Roy and Bryan LeClair; his brother Wayne Cole (Kathleen) of Big River; his sisters-in-law, Carol Beaumont of Moncton, Barbara Wood of Salmon Beach and Clara Smith of Salmon Beach; the mother of his children Betty Ann Cole (Jennings) of Bathurst; his close friend Anna; his pet Lucky; and his half-siblings, Mona Roache, Carmel Ettinger, Mariyln Robinson, Lorna Colleja and Kevin Culligan.
