He was predeceased by : his wife Alma Anne Hawkes (McEvoy); and his parents, Rev. Cyrus Alvin and Marjorie Hawkes (Baldwin). He is survived by : his children, Christopher Hawkes (Kathryn) of Palm Harbor, FL, Daniel Hawkes (Tammy) of Pinellas Park, FL and Angela Hawkes of Clearwater, FL; his siblings, David Hawkes (Sally) of Ottawa, Margaret Larlee (John) of Fredericton, NB and Marian Cottrell (Douglas) of Fredericton, NB.; his close friend Trudy Underhill; and his grandson Zachary Hawkes. He is also survived by several cousins, nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may consider making a memorial donation to the Josie Foundation charitable organization.

Andy and family were very friendly to us when I went to Jamaica on a 2-weeks mission together with my project manager Neal Patterson on my very first assignment with Montreal Engineering Company (MECo) in 1975, an off-line Fortran program of Economic Dispatch that I coded for Jamaica Public Services (JPS). May his soul rest in peace.”
