Valerie Margaret Janet Fairley Obituary

In loving memory of Valerie Margaret Janet Fairley of Bloomfield Ridge, New Brunswick, born in Holtville, New Brunswick, who departed this world on October 2, 2025 at the age of 91. Valerie leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hector Munn and Hessie Ruth Munn (Davis); her husband George Fairley; her daughter Keyo (McAleer); her siblings, Clara Witherell (late Jim), Murdick Munn and Marlyn Munn (late Jeanette); her in-laws, Elva, Bertie Fairley, Carolyn Head, Marcienne, Dow MacDonald, Vera, Ottie Fraser, Erma and Darrell Stewart; her stepfather Rannie Munn; and her siblings' children, Lois Currie, Sari Munn, Timmy Stewart and Andrew Currie.

She is survived by: her children, Bobbie Reid (Jim) of Marysville, Harold Fairley (Carol) of Bloomfield Ridge and Jeff Fairley (Bertha) of Alberta; her grandchildren, Jamie Reid (April), Andy Reid (Jennifer), Mike McAleer (Deanna Munn), Karen Lambert (Matt), Derek Fairley (Kit Pfieffer), Katie Williams (Tony), Chuck Fairley (Allie) and Shane Fairley (Mary); her siblings-in-law, Geraldine Munn and Ron Head; her granddaughter Kelly Arbeau; and her great grandchildren, Jamie Reid, Andy Reid, Mike McAleer, Derek Fairley, Chuck Fairley and Shane Fairley. She is also survived by great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the York Funeral Home's Miramichi Valley Chapel (7681 NB-8, New Bandon Northumb Co, NB E9C2A5). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Miramichi Valley Chapel (7681 NB-8, New Bandon Northumb Co, NB E9C2A5).

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice House, Breast Cancer Association, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the donor's choice.
