It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Maxine Francis (Browns Flat, New Brunswick), born in Oak Point, New Brunswick, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Smith Steven Ashford and Olive Viola Ashford (Stewart); her husband Murray Francis; her children, Cheryl Saunders and Donnie Francis; her son-in-law Robert Woodman; her siblings, Jim, Bill, Steven, Ada, Etta and Carol Ann; and her siblings-in-law, Max, Mary and Gladys.
She is survived by : her daughters, Florence Burgess (Pete) of Nerepis, NB, Rosemarie May of Hampton, NB and Kelly Burns (Paul) of Pennfield, NB; her children-in-law, Mary Francis of Saint John, NB and Everett Saunders of Welsford, NB; her grandchildren, Nathan Francis (Andrea) of Grand Bay, NB, Angela McTaggart (Brandon) of Nerepis, NB, Alexander Saunders (Alexandra) of Mispec, NB, Alvin Woodman (Shawna Allaby) of Belleisle Creek, NB, Bradley Saunders (Martina Carvell) of Quispamsis, NB, Robert Woodman (Erin Martin) of Titusville, NB, James Burns (Ashley Vance) of Bonny River, NB and Jaclyn Burns (Jeremy O'Neill) of Pennfield, NB; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Haley, Jaxen and Zoey; her siblings-in-law, Marvin Mahaney and Sheila Ashford; and her close friends, Louis and Phylis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In her memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
