We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2024, at the age of 96, Dawn Johnson of Burntland Brook, New Brunswick, born in Saint John, New Brunswick passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dawn Johnson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Anslie George and Evadine Thorne (Branscomb); her husband John Charles Wilson Johnson; and her siblings, Marie Davidson, Gladys Nesbit, Margaret Johnson, Kenneth, Russell and Edward Thorne.

She is survived by : her children, Sandra Kellner (Andy) of Stoney Creek, ON, Cyril Johnson (Dana) of Thunder Bay, ON and Anslie Johnson (Diane) of Ancaster, ON; and her siblings, Eileen Buzan of Calgary, AB, Catherine Crocket of Ancaster, ON, George Thorne of Thompson, MB and Robert Thorne of Alberta. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Plaster Rock United Baptist Church or the Burntland Brook Women's Institute would be appreciated by the family.

“I was sorry to hear of Aunt Dawn's passing - the last of that Johnson generation. Aunt Dawn was a lovely woman, and I have fond memories of the time we visited in Hamilton. I remember the last time I saw Aunt Dawn (2017 in NB) and was delighted at how surprised she was that I remembered that you had lived on Upper Paradise Road in Hamilton. Uncle John and Aunt Dawn were wonderful parents, and I know that you will have many treasured memories to carry with you always. Betty (McKiel) Schulz.”
