Donald Edison Bird Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2025, Donald Edison Bird of Burtts Corner, New Brunswick passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helen A. Bird (Hanson); his parents, Winslow Bird and Edna Bird (Colburn); his siblings, Willis (late Joyce), William, Dale and Jean Sliming (late Jack); and his close friend Eric Morgan.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Bird of Burtts Corner, Jamie, Kelley Bird (Flowers) of Keswick Ridge, Kimberly Farkas (John) of Fredericton and Donna Richard (Armand) of Cambridge-Narrows; his grandchildren, Shane, Greggory, Brittney, Belle and Noah; his great grandchildren, Cody, Claire and Malachi; his brother Gordon Bird (late Jan); and his sisters-in-law, Alice Bird and Mary Bird. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the York Funeral Home (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2). A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2).
For those who wish, donations in Donald's memory may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, the New Brunswick Lung Association, the Burtts Corner Lions Club, or a charity of the donor's choice.
