He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine Brown (Tootie); his parents, James Ernest and Elizabeth Ellen Wood (Walsh); and his siblings, Loretta Taylor, Mae Nelson, Peggy Shuler, Anita Vipond and Vincent (Bunt).

He is survived by: his children, Karla Culligan (Frank) and Allan (Suzanne); his grandchildren, James Culligan (Karla), Catherine Cormier (Donny), Michael Wood (Lyne), Mark Wood (Kilby) and Sara Power (Ben); his great grandchildren, Shayna, Ryan Culligan and Amber Lyne Wood; his sister Teresa Dobson (late Arnold); and his sisters-in-law, Vera Wood (late Vincent) and Linda Noort (late Hank). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
