He was predeceased by: his nephew Dan Basque of Listuguj, QC. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Ryan Basque, Lisa Basque-Condo (Wayne) and Priscillia Basque; and his sibling's children, Mona Barnaby-Basque of Eel Ground, NB, Peter Basque of Listuguj, Corinne Basque-Mitchell of Listuguj, QC and Henry Basque of Bangor.
