He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Callaghan and Irene Callaghan (Chuliner); his wife Jane Grant; and his siblings, Tim and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his son Christian; his siblings, Tom (Cecile), Shaun (Marie), Joe, Don "Duck" (Irene), Sue O'Brien (Jack), Cathy Callaghan and Jane Desaulniers (Rene); his siblings-in-law, Paul Grant (Jackie) and Sue Grant; and his mother-in-law Mary Grant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
