He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottie Ondon Black and Mabelle Black (Damery); his wife Shirley Black (Beck); and his siblings, Jean and Stanley Black.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Huber (Jeff) of Melville, SK, Corinne Black (Bryan) of Wards Creek, Jessica McGrath (Ernie) of Canaan Forks, Erin Goddard (David) of Kinnear Settlement, Neil Black (Melanie) of Rochester, Minnesota, Christopher, Keiran, Jordan and Bradley; his close friend Jean Paterson of Canaan Forks; his sisters, Myrtle Ross (George), Leta Beal (Gurney), Roberta Moss (Harold), Linda Constantine (Harold), Rilla Moss-Wood (Ansel), Loretta Beck (Jim) and Alma Maxwell (Wendell); and his sister-in-law Glenna Black. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, "adopted" children and extended family.
