He is survived by: his children, Cary Rideout (Lorain Ebbett-Rideout) of Carlow, Jeffrey Rideout (Mary Beth) of Fredericton, Clay Rideout of Fredericton and Angela Mason (Warren) of Moncton; his grandchildren, Carson Rideout and Jagar Rideout; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Rideout, Diana Rideout and Gil Violette. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
