She was predeceased by: her husband John Smith; her parents, Augusta Carter and Rose Anna Carter (LeClair); and her siblings, Harry Carter, Andy Carter, Wilson "Boone" Carter, Lucy "Lover" Boudreau (Carter), Margaret "Git" Morin (Carter), Elgin "Buddy" Carter and Terry Carter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
