She was predeceased by: her son Sterling Fraser Hughes; her former husband Donald Hughes; and her parents, Arthur McLean and Eretta McLean. She is survived by: her daughters, Darlene Hughes (Jay) and Nova-Lee Smith (Roger); her siblings, Flora Murphy, Shirley Lavoie, Douglas McLean and Talmage MacLean (Elva); her grandchildren, Andrew Parlee (Kelti), Kelsey Olver (Jeremiah), Christopher Hughes (Hannah), Cassidy Hughes (Doug), Shane Smith and Shawn Smith (Amelia); her great grandchildren, Brycelyn (Luke), Dallas, Jayce, Ben, Miley, Connor, Corrina, Arlynn and Shannon; her siblings-in-law, Jenine, Marlene and Carl Kierstead (Jill); her niece Bethany McIntyre (Brent); her husband Walter Keirstead; her siblings, Ron, Bill, Walter, Jack, Janet Habib and Anna Cunningham; and her siblings-in-law, Diane McLean, Doreen McLean, Almeda McLean, Faye Jones, Jim Shaw, George Habib, Norman Cunningham and Earl Jones.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Coles Island Community Cemetery.
