He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Jarvis Barton and Ruby Barton; and his grandson Jonah Loran Barton. He is survived by: his wife Elanor; his sons, Matthew (Susanne), Mark (Judy), David (Lorraine), Geoffrey (Tracy) and Daniel (Cassandra); and his sister Lorna. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
