He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Vail and Elsie Vail (Hawkes). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia (Walton); his sons, Jonathan Vail (Katie Major) and Nathanael Vail (Emily Gorveatte); and his siblings, Dwayne Vail, Judy Richard and Gloria Clark (Charles). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
