He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hetherington and Loretta Hetherington (Paulin); his wife Thelma (Barton); his son Rob; his brother Jimmy; and his brother-in-law Charlie Miller.

He is survived by: his significant other Norma Myshrall; his son Aaron Hetherington; his siblings, Gerald (Barb), Susan Hutchins (Lee), Sharon Miller and Sylvia Speakman (Eddy); his sister-in-law Sandy Hetherington; his pets, Max and Jezabel; Cat. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many life-long friends.

Memorial donations in memory of Robin made to the SPCA are appreciated by the family.
