David leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. David’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Helen (Colpitts); daughters: Cindy Hennessey (Tim), Carla Coates (Roger); grandchildren: Zackary Hennessey (Sarah), Kennedy Selwah (Matthew), Vanessa Pound (Aaron), Gabby Coates-Harrison; great grandchildren: Clyde, Freya, Walter, Norah; sisters: Ruthie Leaman (Russell), Kelly Hodgin (John), Coreen Clark (Doug); brother: Leonard Bannister; brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Mary Colpitts; parents: Russell and Ethel (Mason) Bannister; predeceased sisters: Helen Bishop, Debbie Garber; predeceased brothers: Russell (Sonny) Bannister, Perry Bannister; predeceased in-laws: Irvin and Marie (Carter) Colpitts; pets: Pearl.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Salisbury Funeral Home (3350 NB-106, Salisbury, NB E4J3H3).
If desired, donations made to Salisbury Fire and Rescue, the IWK Children's Hospital or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
