She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Edwards and Ralph Edwards of Escuminac, Québec.. She is survived by: her husband Fred Waddy; her children, David (Patricia), Christina (Alex) and Michael; her grandchildren, Matthew, Zara and Jasper; her brother Stephen Edwards (Edith) of Escuminac, Québec; and her cousin Stuart Baker (Hughena) of Rothesay. She is also survived by brother—as well as several nieces, nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Colpitts United Church (4846 NB-895, Colpitts Settlement, NB E4J1M9).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Hospice SENB Maison Albert House in honor of Ruth Anne's memory.
