She was predeceased by : her parents, Vibert Sr. Simmons and Regina Simmons (Bertin); her husband Gerald; her son Alan; and her sisters, Dinah Balfour and Ruth McGregor.

She is survived by : her siblings, Henrietta Fournier of Paris and Vibert Simmons of Dalhousie. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
