Julia Matilda (Tillie) Dawson Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Julia Matilda (Tillie) Dawson of Derby Junction, New Brunswick is shared. Julia, born on February 29, 1924, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James McClary and Julia McClary (Beers); her husband Cecil Dawson; her son Brennan; her daughter-in-law Sally Dawson; her siblings, Percy Beers (Phyllis), Lester McClary (Ruby), Muriel Doak, Windella McClary, James McClary and Dorothy McClary; and her grandmother Tillie.
She is survived by: her son Brian Dawson (Karen); her grandchildren, Ryan Dawson, Nicholas Dawson, Melissa Cormier (Justin), Seth Dawson (Marissa), Samantha Melvin (Jesse), Chelsea Houlston (Ben), Emily MacCormack (Dillen) and Hannah Dawson; and her great grandchildren, Myah, Maycii, Nash Melvin, Xavier, River Dawson, Jaelynn Hare, Aspen Houlston and Kinsley Cormier. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre (88 Church St, Moncton, NB E1C4Z5). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sainte-Thérèse-De-L'Enfant-Jésus Church (457 Acadie Ave, Dieppe, NB E1A1H7).
As expressions of sympathy, in memory of Tillie, donations may be made to Percy's Place or to the Miramichi Food Bank.
