He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Sandieson and Elsie Sandieson (Lancashire). He is survived by: his wife Mary Sandieson (MacKinnon); his children, William MacKinnon, Maria LeBlanc, Rain Sandieson (Richard John), Patricia Sandieson (Sheldon O'Brien), Amanda Allen (Sonny) and Richard Sandieson (Sylvie Allain); his sister Marion Ferguson; his niece Lorna; his nephew David; and his sister-in-law Kathleen. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Donations to Albert House or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
