With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Hayward Clayton Stewart of Doaktown, New Brunswick, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Hayward left this world on January 1, 2026 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Stewart and Hilda Stewart (Connors); and his siblings, Margaret, Bernice Arbeau, Janet Stewart and Ricky Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Winnie Stewart of Doaktown; his sons, Brent (Angel) of Doaktown and Scott (Naomi) of Doaktown; his grandchildren, Jordan (Lacey), Nadine (Gabe), Laurisa (Elliot), Brittany and Macie; his great grandchildren, Owen, Hudson, Clayton, Louisa, John Mark, Roman and Mabel; and his siblings, Thelma (Charles Carter) of Kouchibouguac, Karen (Dwight Dunnett) of Doaktown, Kim Stewart of Hoyt, Paul (Audrey) of Doaktown, Billy (Barb) of Doaktown and Donald (Susan) of Oregon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with the dozens of children who grew up calling him Papa.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Capital Community Church (71 Downing St, Fredericton, NB E3A4M8).
