He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Guay and Eva Bourgoin; his daughter Susan; and his siblings, Albeo (late Marie-Mai), Levite and Guilma Bourgoin (late Julien).

He is survived by: his wife Jeanie Hitchcock; his children, John Guay (Patsy) of Grand Falls, Sandra Plourde (Marcel) of Grand Falls, Julie Lajoie (Alain) of Drummond and Jennifer Goodine (Joe) of Fredericton; his grandchildren, Kevin, Kimberley, Joshua, Mariah, Melinda, Corey, Asheley, Adam, Alex and Grayson; and his siblings, Rose-Aline Ouellette (late Julien) of Sorel-Tracy, Jeanne Levesque (late Guy) of Drummond, Edwina Leclerc of Grand Falls, Ronald (Huguette) of New Port Richey, Candide (Antoinette), Renaud (late Rita) of Drummond, Reginald, Albert, Gilles (late Linda) of Grand Falls, Rose-Aimee Michaud (Euclide) of Chatham and Pauline Dubé (Joe) of Grand Falls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
