He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph N. Theriault and Eugenie Theriault (Leclerc); his son Daniel Theriault; his grandson Gaby Rioux; and his sibling Narcisse (late Annie).

He is survived by: his wife Ella; his children, Sylvain (Manel) of Drummond, Zoel of Drummond, Alain (Elaine) of Drummond, Yves (Nicole) of Drummond, Donald (Carole) of Drummond and Denise (Larry Harding) of Grand Falls; his sisters, Lucille Godbout (late Lawrence) and Aline Dube (late Octave) of Drummond; and his sister-in-law Marie-Paule Theriault (late Roland) of Grand Falls. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
