He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Vaillancourt (Dubé); his mother Beatrice Vaillancourt (Ouellette) of Grand Falls; his children, Julie (Guy St-Amand) of Charlo, Francois (Wendie Ouellette) of Spruce Grove and Patrick (Andréa Hébert) of Haute-Aboujagane; his granddaughters, Mélodie, Emilie St-Amand and Myrabelle Vaillancourt; and his siblings, Ovide (Pat) of Perth-Andover, Rosaire (Yvette), Therese Gagnon (late Real) of Grand Falls, Robert (Claire) of Edmundston, Antoinette Roussel (Hermenegilde) of Saint-Leonard, Emile (Jocelyne) of Grand Falls and Paul (Bonnie) of Saint-Andre. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
