With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Rioux of Drummond, New Brunswick, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on December 30, 2025, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugène Rioux and Elise Rioux (Caron); his son Fernand Rioux (Mark Landry) of Edmundston; his grandson François Levesque; and his siblings, Sylvianne Mercure, Valdor Rioux, Roland Rioux, Odette Gervais, Paul Rioux and Léanne Bourgoin.
He is survived by: his wife Géraldine Côté; his children, Gilles (Solange) of Drummond, Micheline (Michel St-Amand) of Drummond, Maurice of Drummond and Johanne (Daniel Levesque) of Grand Falls; his grandchildren, Chantal, Renée, Louise, Josée, Daniel, Luc, André, Amélie and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Valérie, Maxime, Alexa, Samuel, Audree, Noémie, Jadel, Lori, Kami, Simon, Chase, Colton, Haylie, Carter and Macey; and his sister Berthe Lasare of Québec. He is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the O'Regan's Funeral Home (515 Everard H Daigle Boul, Grand-Sault, NB E3Z 2R5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St-Michel Roman Catholic Church (1369 Chem. Tobique, Drummond, NB E3Y2P4).
