She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Ruest and Régina Ruest (Roussel); her husband Armand Chiasson; her son Michel; and her siblings, Rachelle Laforge, Renaud Ruest, Rena Daigle and Verna Ruest.

She is survived by: her children, Mireille Chiasson (Pierre Desjardins) of Shediac, Carole Chiasson (Philip Dupèré) of Saint-Leonard and Charle Chiasson (Kris Gagnon) of Saint-Leonard; her grandchildren, Véronique, Nicolas, Xavier, Vincent, Cedrik, Sophie and Loik; and her siblings, Velma Boudreau, Benoit Ruest (Lise Pelletier) of Sainte-Anne, Thérèse Dutil of Fairfield, Maine, Réginald Ruest (Madeleine) of St-Joseph, Gisèle Bickford (Jimmy) of Cocoa Beach, Hermel Ruest (Rachel) of Sainte-Anne and Diane St-Amand (Wayne) of Moncton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
