He was predeceased by: his parents, Avon Oakes and Audrey Oakes (Ruff); his son Kenny; and his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughters, Alicia Smalley (Rick Rousselle), Sarah Farrell (Jeff) and Patti Oakes; his grandchildren, Emily, John, Samantha, Ashlie, Parker and Ryland; his great grandchildren, Paxton and Oscar; and his siblings, Donna Ruff (Donald), Dana Oakes, Jamie Oakes (Nicole) and Debbie Perkins (Ricky). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
