He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his sons, Drew Hemphill (Tracy), Barry Hemphill (Cristin), Vance Hemphill and Levi Hemphill (Jessie); his grandchildren, Drew, Sarah, Spencer, Ethan, Tori, Dawson, Henry and Reese; his sister-in-law Myrtle Hemphill; his nieces, Margaret Dickenson, Elizabeth (Cliff Jones) and Victoria (Kevin Bubar); and his nephew Edward Hemphill (Heather).
