He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dean and Adah Dean (Austin); his stepmother Thelma Dean; his great grandchild Will; and his brother Robert (Beatrice).
He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Cynthia Walsh (Jonathan), Susan Hitchcock (Todd) and Michael Dean (Marie); his grandchildren, Emily (Ben), Katie (Kaleb), Thomas (Breagh), John and Greta; his great grandchildren, Jack, Dean, Owen, Fraser and Milo; his stepsister Nancy Karaman; his niece Karen; and his nephew Richard.
