Peter D. Owen Obituary

The family of Peter David Owen sadly announces his passing on December 8th, 2023. Peter was born in Blackpool, England on August 9th, 1962 and immigrated to Canada in 1974, with his mom, step-dad and three siblings.

Peter was predeceased by his beloved grandparents in England, his father Thomas Wright and stepfather Pat Owen, by his cherished mother Joan Patricia Owen (Purton), his loving sister Karen Owen and his dear brother-in-law Blair Snider.

Peter was the beloved soul mate of Norlynda (Durocher) and the most precious and loving dad to Logan and Ruby Owen.

He will be dearly missed by his sister Cheryl Snider (Bernie), nephews Brad Snider (Meghan) and Ryan Snider (Magalie). He also leaves behind his brother Paul Owen, and nieces Michelle McMillan (Bradley) and Christine Owen (Joey), and Karen's children Tracy McMurray and Andy McMurray.

He was a brother-in-law to David Durocher (Katie) and he was a fun and loving "Funky Unky" to Hannah, Molly, and Darren Durocher.

Thanks to the internet, he was able to reconnect with his cousin Carol Wright and her family in Blackpool, England. He cherished this reconnection.

Chop was fiercely loyal and reveled in his lifelong friendships, happy to share a pint or two or a shot of Jack with his crew.

Plans for a Celebration of Life are still being completed and will be shared at later time.
