It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Velma R. Smith (Florenceville, New Brunswick), born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, who passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Damase Beaulieu and Arthemise Beaulieu (Michaud); her husband Ewart Smith; and her siblings, Georgette, Freda, Veta, Raymond, Ira, Rema, Anne, Theo and Gaetane.

She is survived by : her children, Rodney Smith (Carla), Trina Kearney (David), Lynda Salmon (Arnold), Michael Smith (Julie Clark) and Tyler Smith (Hilary Landry); her grandchildren, Sawyer, Molly, Heath, Sean and Ripley; her great grandchild Lena; and her brother Joseph Beaulieu. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
