He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Pelkey (Ruff) and Edward Pelkey. He is survived by: his children, Charles Pelkey (Tina), Christina Cruver (Chris), Cherie Pelkey, Christa Dayton (Anthony Priest) and Adam Pelkey; his grandchildren, Alden Christianson, Clayton Christianson (Ann), Benjamin Salazar, Anthony Salazar, Daniel Salazar, Christian Salazar, Christopher Dayton, Joshua Dayton (Cassie), Scott Dayton and Haley Pelkey; his great grandchildren, Theo Dayton, Ian Christianson and Samual Dayton; and his siblings, Cheryl O'Neal (Aden O'Neal), Janet Rees, Michael Pelkey and Shane Hoyt (Heidi Hoyt).

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hope City (429 Clements Dr, Fredericton, NB E3G7J1).
