She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Walker and Muriel Walker (Brooks); her husband Bernard DeMerchant; and her siblings, Alice Howe and Edgar Walker.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Fenerty (Shawn) of Douglas, NB, Ross (Shirley) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mark (Sharon) of Perth-Andover, NB and Paul (Nancy) of Napanee, Ontario; and her sister Dorothy Crabbe of Fredericton, NB. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the York Care Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
