He was predeceased by : his parents, Marta Kurz and Hans Kurz. He is survived by : his children, Monica Kurz (Darcy) and Michael Kurz; his sister Margarita Kurz-Dandache; and his wife Jola.

A celebration of Bernd's life is planned for a time when pandemic restrictions allow for an appropriate ceremony.
