She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett Nietering and Hilda Nietering; and her son Jeffery Scott Choate. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Stephan Choate of Alden; her daughter Jenny; her grandson Ryan; and her siblings, Arlene Williams (Nietering), Joan Johnson (Nietering) and Donald Nietering.
