He was predeceased by: his parent Ernest McMullen; his wife Rosaleen McMullen (McDermott); and his siblings, Maureen, Kathleen and Gerard.

He is survived by: his parent Kathleen McMullen (Malone); his children, Brenda McMullen Brown (Merlin), Cathy McMullen, Jim McMullen of Davidson Lake, NB, Paul McMullen (Judy White) and Sean McMullen; his grandchildren, Kathleen, Jesse, Sarah, Brendan McMullen, Conor Brown and Liam Brown; his great grandchildren, Kaya, Joy and Emmett; and his siblings, Ernest McMullen of Ireland, Susan Miller of Ireland and Theresa Brannigon (Tommy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
