He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Bird and Rettie Bird (Brewer); his wife Olive Bird (Jones); his daughter Brenda Bird; his sisters, Winnifred Ashton and Phyllis Johnston; his half-sister Geraldine Mount; his brother Lorne Bird; and his half-brother Gerald Bird.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Laurie Lynn; his great grandchildren, Jody Carl and Leslie Dawn; his daughter Bonnie Hawkins (Eddie) of Fredericton, NB; his granddaughter Laurie Boone (Tim) of Fredericton, NB; his great grandchildren, Jody Boone (Laura) and Leslie Boone-Morrell (Jeffrey); his half-sisters, Carlene Tranquilla of Fredericton, NB and Gloria Dickinson (Bob) of Burlington, ON; and his significant other Norma Mason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in remembrance of Carl may be made to the Sunset Church or the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care.
