She was predeceased by: her daughter Carlene; her parents, Lawrence "Larn" McKay and Margaret "Maggie" McKay; her brothers, Ellery, Everett and Arnold; her siblings-in-law, Charline Smith, Helen Colwell, Mary Colwell, Rupert Colwell, George Spicer, Walter Smith and Doug Rouse; and her grandson Christopher Colwell.

She is survived by: her husband Laurin; her children, Dwight (Mary), Cynthia (Garth), Karen (Bill), Steve (Lise) and Mark; her grandchildren, Michael, Melody, Jessica, Jordan and Erin; her great grandchildren, McKenna, Lydia and Adelyn; her brother Harland McKay; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret, June, Rae and Isobel Spicer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
